An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) Annie for Spite, the 1917 James Kirkwood silent orphan inheritance romantic melodrama (a wacky story about a super rich, very old lady, whose son has died, and she doesn't want to leave her fortune to her daughter-in-law, her only surviving relative, so she intentionally finds a very "ugly" girl to adopt, so she can leave her all of her money to spite her daughter-in-law!; the girl is pure of heart, and as she and the old lady grow to love each other, she becomes "beautiful", and even though she doesn't inherit the money, everything works out in the end) starring Mary Miles Minter (in the title role as Annie), George Fisher, Eugenie Forde, Gertrude Le Brandt, and George Periolat NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). This slide is the kind that has two panes of glass that are taped together with black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of many older glass slides. We have provided a high quality scan of the image, but we have not taken a photo of the slide, because there would really be very little to see! Condition: good to very good. There is slight deterioration around the edges of the slide (but it only affects the borders), and the play dates were partially erased. Learn More about condition grades
