He would often appear briefly in his own movies as a gag. Some of his movies include: Rear Window (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film), North By Northwest, Psycho (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film), Vertigo, Strangers on a Train, Notorious, Rebecca (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film), Shadow of a Doubt, The 39 Steps, The Lady Vanishes, The Birds, Dial M for Murder, Lifeboat (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film), Spellbound, The Man Who Knew Too Much (he made this one TWICE!), The Trouble with Harry, and many, many more! He passed away in 1980 at the age of 80. Important Added Info: Note that this ad was removed from a movie magazine that was printed when this movie first came out. There is printing on the reverse side of the ad, but we don't picture it, because it is surely of little interest. But this ad can be matted or framed for little money and makes a great inexpensive display! Condition: very good. This page was removed from a magazine. Learn More about condition grades
