Roping Her Romeo, the 1917 Hampton Del Ruth & Fred Hibbard silent romantic cowboy western comedy short (produced by Mack Sennett) starring Polly Moran (Sheriff Nell, the Pride of Triggerville), Ben Turpin (Honest Eyed Jack, a Poor Butterfly), Slim Summerville (Black Pete, the Leading Scoundrel), Ethel Teare (Helen Bent, the Mail Order Bride), Frank Bond (Silk Hat Cecil, a Gentleman Gambler), Eva Thatcher, and Teddy the Dog. We could not find much information about this movie other than the cast, but based on their character names (see above), it sounds like it was probably well worth watching!
