An Original Vintage Autographed Brochure (measures 3 1/2" x 8 1/2" [9 x 22 cm]) (Learn More) Muhammad Ali (born Cassius Marcellus Clay Jr. and nicknamed "The Greatest") was the most famous boxer from the 1960s to the 1980s (in 1999, he was named the most famous sports celebrity of the entire 20th century). Ali is the first and only three-time lineal World Heavyweight Champion. Some of his movies include: Freedom Road, The Greatest, and When We Were Kings. He was as famous for his activities outside the ring, including his refusal to serve in Vietnam (he was a "conscientious objector"), his conversion to being Muslim, and his long devotion to that faith, and his political activism! He passed away in 2016 at the age of 74. We will not see his like again! Important Added Info: Note that this item (which is a brochure from "The Institute of Islamic Information and Education", titled "Malcolm X") has been personally autographed (signed) by Muhammad Ali! We are told that when Ali appeared at shows and would sell signed photos, he would also offer the person who bought one the chance to have one of these brochures signed as well, and that he gave it free with the photo, because he wanted to get the information from the brochure read! Our consignor is a longtime dealer who acquired this signed item among many other purchases in his inventory, and he does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we believe the signature to likely be authentic. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction.
