An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded One-Sheet Movie Poster (27" x 41") (Learn More)

American Film Theatre Second Season, the 1974 poster announcing the second season of movies released by American Film Theatre including: Galileo, Jacques Brel, In Celebration, The Man in the Glass Booth, and The Maids. Note that each of these movies was a filmed version of a Broadway play, but not simply a film version, but a full movie with added production values of each of the plays! While this was a wonderful idea, apparently it did not meet with a great success, because it was solely done in 1973 and 1974. How wonderful it would be if this had continued through to the present, and how much more wonderful would it have been had it been done all the way back into the 1920s!
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this poster was never machine folded. Most movie posters from before 1980 were machine folded immediately after printing. After 1980, it quickly became standard for posters to never be folded, and were shipped to theaters rolled in tubes. But this made it far more likely for posters to pick up minor (or major) defects, and it can be difficult to find an unfolded poster from the 1980s in excellent condition.

Condition: very good.
