Important Added Info: Note that, in 1966, MGM re-released this classic 1959 Alfred Hitchcock movie, and created new posters that most collectors feel are superior to that of the original! It has the classic scene of Cary Grant being chased by the crop-duster biplane, plus it shows Mt. Rushmore (and Hitchcock is one of the faces!), plus there is an image of Hitchcock holding a giant hand, plus there is a new tagline that reads, "Only Cary Grant and Alfred Hitchcock ever gave you so much suspense in so many direction so we brought it back!" Also note that this poster has been paperbacked. What is paperbacking? This means the poster was backed onto a paper backing (acid-free), that is similar in feel to that of the original poster (except somewhat heavier). It is a similar process to linenbacking, except that most collectors use linenbacking for one-sheets and paperbacking for half-sheets, inserts, window cards, and lobby cards. Condition: very good to fine. The poster was never folded. It had a 1" tear in the middle of the left border, and a 1" tear in the middle of the bottom border, and pairs of staple holes in the middle of the top and bottom borders. There were a few faint smudges, creases, and tiny stains in the white background areas. Overall, the poster was in very good to fine condition prior to paperbacking. The poster was well backed. The restorer did some expert restoration in the borders and the white background areas, but it was so well done, that you don't see it at all, and I would think very few collectors could tell it had been done. I am 100% certain that every collector would be proud to have this great poster displayed on their wall! Learn More about condition grades
