Babcock") starring Lon Chaney Jr. (reprising his title role as Kharis the Mummy), Peter Coe, Kay Harding, Virginia Christine, Dennis Moore, Martin Kosleck, Kurt Katch, Napoleon Simpson, Ann Codee, and William Farnum NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the middle crossfold and a tiny bit of paper loss in the top center of the poster in the Mummy's cheek (truly a tiny bit!). There were some tiny tears and tiny bits of paper loss in the middle horizontal fold and a few tiny bits in the vertical foldline between the top and bottom crossfolds, with minor wear on the other foldlines. There were a 1 1/2" x 2" area of paper loss in the lower right border (just above the right end of the bottom horizontal fold), extending by 1/2" into the green background. There were some small tears and tiny paper loss in the blank borders. Other than the above exact defects (and I have gone into great detail, because of the value of the poster), the poster was in nice condition prior to linenbacking, with good colors and just a few minor scuffs scattered in the image. The poster was nicely backed (the restorer painted over much of the blank white borders, except for the small writing at the bottom, which was often done many years ago, but there is very little paint within the image), and the poster displays great!
