An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Personality Poster (measures 22" x 28" [56 x 71 cm]) (Learn More)

Taylor Holmes was an actor from the 1900s to the 1950s. He started on the stage with the 1900 play "Sapho", but it was closed down for immorality! Some of his movies include: Efficiency Edgar's Courtship (in the title role as Edgar), Nothing But the Truth, Joan of Arc, Father of the Bride, and Sleeping Beauty (as the voice of King Stefan). He passed away in 1959 at the age of 81.
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare poster. We have never auctioned one in all our years of auctioning! It is a 22" x 28" "personality poster" from a silent star. Personality posters from 1930s stars are rare, but ones from silent stars are even MORE rare, and many of the few that survive are likely "one of a kind"! We currently offering 12 personality posters from silent stars in 12 separate auctions. Also note that unlike 1930s personality posters, which were almost always in a vertical format, ones from silent stars are sometimes in horizontal formats (and seven of the 12 we are currently offering are horizontal). This poster was never folded and it is fragile enough that it absolutely should not be rolled or attempted to be rolled. Therefore, it needs to be sent in a very large flat package that measures approximately 24" x 30". Please bear this added shipping expense in mind before bidding on this poster.

Condition: good. The poster was never folded. It has a diagonal tear in the lower right extending into the right background area and slightly touching the shoulder. There are tears and stains around the edges with a few smudges and stains scattered in the image.
