For a Peace of Prosperity & Plenty, the circa 1918 post-World War I (WWI) War Bond window display ("The Victory Liberty Loan") encouraging people to buy war bonds, and featuring artwork of victorious soldiers and American industry, workers and farmers. This is an elaborate display! It is in five full-color pieces that were designed to be attached to the inside of a store's window, around the edges, so that it would create a sort of "frame" where the store could still utilize the inside of the window, but it would certainly be very eye-catching. The display was originally sent to stores in a brown envelope, which had an image of how the display was intended to be placed in the window, and it mentions that "gummed stickers for attaching to glass are enclosed"! Surely most of these displays were attached to windows and then discarded, and it is likely one of the most rare war poster artifacts!
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: As noted above, this war poster display was printed in five sections that were to be attached to the inside of a store window. The original brown mailing bag is present, but the "gummed stickers" are not. We have included a single image of the five pieces arranged as intended to be displayed, and then separate images of each of the five pieces, plus the mailing envelope. It seems a miracle that this window display has survived, especially because it appears it was used (there is some staining on the pieces where it appears it may have been attached to a window). We have never auctioned it before, and likely never will again!

Condition: good to very good. Some of the five pieces of the display have some small brown stains, but they are much more noticeable from the back than from the front. Some have some wear around part of the edges (see our images).
