NATURE GIRL & THE SLAVER NATURE GIRL & THE SLAVER French 1p OR search current auctions Auction History Result 8y011 NATURE GIRL & THE SLAVER linen French 1p R1960s Belinsky art of Marion Michael as Liane, rare! Date Sold 9/10/2019Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Undated (probably late 1950s or early 1960s) Re-Release Theatrical Linenbacked French One-Panel "Grande" Movie Poster (1p; measures 46 1/4" x 63" [117 x 160 cm]) (Learn More) Liane, die Weisse Sklavin (released in the U.S. in 1959 as "Nature Girl and the Slaver" and in other English-speaking countries as "Jungle Girl and the Slaver" and "Liane - White Slave"), the 1957 Hermann Leitner German/Italian romantic jungle adventure melodrama sequel ("Her untouched beauty set off a blazing desert war!") starring Marion Michael (in the title role as Liane; "Primitive Pulsating Thrill-Girl!"), Adrian Hoven, Rolf von Nauckhoff, Nerio Bernardi, and Friedrich Joloff. Note that star Marion Michael was reprising her role as Liane, which she had created the year before when she was just 16, but the movie was not given a "Liane" title in English-speaking countries, no doubt so that theatergoers would know that it was a completely different movie (in 1961, some clever distributor edited the first two movies into a single "new" feature called "Liane, die Tochter des Dschungels", and she had a cameo role in 1996 in a TV remake of "Liane"). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Constantin Belinsky Important Added Info: Note that we have previously auctioned the first release French one-panel from this movie, which has a completely different image. A French expert tells us this is from a very early re-release (probably from the first couple of years after the movie first played in France). It has completely different art, and we have never auctioned it before! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Note that this poster ships in a very long tube (at least 33" long, but possibly 50" long or more). Therefore the shipping for this poster will be more than that for a poster that ships in a tube 32" or shorter, and possibly much more. Please bear this added shipping expense in mind before bidding on this poster. You can tell how long of a tube this poster needs to ship in by looking at the shorter dimension of its length and width and then adding 4" to that (so a 47" x 63" poster will need to ship in a 51" long tube). Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had small paper loss at the crossfolds and tiny tears and small areas of paper loss on parts of some folds, with pinholes in the corners. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well! Learn More about condition grades
