La Femme du Boulanger (released in the U.S. in 1940 as "The Baker's Wife"), the classic 1938 Marcel Pagnol French romantic love triangle comedy ("The droll amusing story of a village baker who had wife trouble"; a charming story of a baker in a small town who has a beautiful young wife, and when she leaves with another man, he is so depressed that he can't bake anymore, and the villagers, who had initially laughed at him, are equally depressed to not have his baked goods, and they set about trying to get his young wife to return!) starring Raimu (in the title role as Aimable, the baker), Ginette Leclerc (in the title role as Aurelie), Fernand Charpin, Robert Vattier, and Charles Blavette
