Artist: Saul Bass Important Added Info: UPDATED 10/13/2014: Note that it was pointed out to us that the photograph that we initially had online showed the white tape that was on the back of the top crossfold (when we photographed it, our photographer had trouble laying it flat, and did not notice that the white tape had gone above the poster at the center of the top crossfold where the poster is separated). So we looked at the poster, and saw that the white tape on the back of the top and bottom crossfolds could be removed, and we did. But since that left the poster very fragile at the top crossfold, we put two pieces of thin conservation tape on the back, just to keep the poster together until it can be properly linenbacked (the thin tape is very easy to remove). We have posted an updated image of the poster, where you can see how it looks (you may need to "refresh" the page to see it). Everything else that we wrote in our Condition Description below is correct. There is the tiniest of paper loss on the foldlines as described, and after linenbacking by a talented professional, the poster will look fantastic! Condition: good. The poster is fragile. It has separated on the right two-thirds of the top horizontal fold. There is a diagonal tear near the middle of the top of the poster, just above the top crossfold. Someone put a piece of white paper tape on the back of that area, but it has come loose. There are many small tears and a few larger ones on parts of the foldlines and in the borders, but there is only the slightest of paper loss in a few places. The poster would be graded as "fair", EXCEPT that it can be sent to a restorer, and after proper restoration and linenbacking, it will look fantastic, and it will truly have only a small amount of restoration! But please do not bid on this poster unless you can accept its defects described above and are willing to pay to have them properly restored. Learn More about condition grades
