An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Half-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 22" x 28") (Learn More)

Invasion of the Saucer-Men, the 1957 Edward L. Cahn science fiction (sci-fi) alien horror thriller ("Creeping Horror... From the depths of time and space!"; "See Teenagers vs. The Saucer-Men!"; "See Disembodied hand that crawls...!"; "See Night the world nearly ended...!"; "See Earth attacked by flying saucers!") starring Steven Terrell, Gloria Castillo, Raymond Hatton, Frank Gorshin, Lyn Osborn, and Russ Bender. Note that while few people have fond memories of this movie, everyone loves the wonderful posters created to advertise it, with the goofy "cabbage head" aliens holding a half-clad girl, and with great art of spaceships destroying a city!

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this poster has never been machine folded! Most half-sheet posters were folded once horizontally and once vertically right off of the printing press. It is very difficult to find an unfolded example of most half-sheets, especially from before 1970! Because of the age and value of this poster, it will have to be sent in an oversized flat package (we would hate for this wonderful poster to sustain even the slightest damage or creases from being rolled!).

Condition: good to very good. There are water stains along the bottom border and a few scattered in the other borders. The entire poster has darkened somewhat, but because the image area has no white background area, the darkening is really basically only noticeable in the borders. There is small paper loss in three of the four blank corners. There was a 1 1/2" L-shaped tear in the center of the top border (just extending into the edge of the image background) that was repaired with a piece of tape from the back. There are tiny pinholes in the corners. There are a few creases and faint scuffs scattered in the image. Obviously, this poster has clear defects, but they are the sort that really respond well to expert professional restoration! It is quite likely that the water staining and darkening in the borders can be either entirely removed through chemical means, or greatly reduced, thus greatly reducing the need for paint restoration in those areas. After paperbacking by a talented professional, this poster will look fantastic (especially because it will require very little touch up of any sort within the image area, and because most of its defects are in the borders). I would think many collectors could happily display it just as it is, but certainly, I could well understand choosing to restore it. Either way, I will envy the collector who ends up with this wonderful poster on their wall!
