Artist: Tom William Chantrell
Important Added Info: Note that this is one of three British quads that were created for the 1977 release of this classic movie. In 1978, when the movie was still in first release in England, a new quad was prepared with the same Chantrell artwork as one of the earlier three quads, but with information about the awards it had won. Offered here is a "pre-Awards" British quad from 1977.

Note that this special "all Star Wars" auction began with a phone call from a VERY long time collector of Star Wars posters! He told us that he had reached a point in his life where he was wanting to sell his collection, and he asked if we could do it all at one time. Because he had 174 posters (including many of the most rare and desirable ones), we were happy to comply, but we told him that we would like to also add additional rare Star Wars posters from other collectors, and he agreed, and after we were consigned an additional 117 posters and related items, we have our auction!

We asked the person who assembled the amazing collection of 174 posters in this auction to share with us a written history of how he came to assemble this amazing collection, and if you CLICK HERE, you will be taken to a separate page that shows you what he wrote for us!

Condition: good. There is light rippling throughout the poster from exposure to moisture. There is some slight discoloration at lower right and on a few areas that are mostly only noticeable on back. It has creases and tiny tears along portions of the upper and lower edge. Despite these defects the artwork of the poster is "all there" and still pretty colorful and certainly the poster could be backed to address the rippling and edge wear and it would look wonderful (but of course please bear in mind the cost of such restoration prior to placing a bid).
