An Unfolded Japanese Travel Poster (measures 24 1/2" x 39 1/4" [62 x 100 cm]) (Learn More)

Japan Air Lines, the 1960s Japanese airline aviation airplane travel poster promoting travel to Japan aboard Japan Air Lines (JAL), and featuring art or images of examples of Japanese people, culture and locations. Japan Airlines Co (JAL) is an international airline and Japan's flag carrier. JAL was established in 1951 and became the national airline of Japan in 1953. After over three decades of service and expansion, the airline was fully privatized in 1987. In 2002, the airline merged with Japan Air System, Japan's third-largest airline and became the sixth-largest airline in the world by passengers carried.
Artist: Shoen Uemura

Condition: good to very good. The poster was never folded. It has scuffing, smudges and slight discoloration and back (due to wall contact) and pinholes around the edges. It has a small stain to the upper right of the Geisha, but the slight discoloration on back is not very noticeable (likely due to the paper's thickness). It has several light creases throughout. Please see our super-sized image to get a good sense of the condition of this item prior to placing a bid.
