What IS linenbacking? Learn More

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had creases and tears around the edges. There were several tears at the bottom left of the artwork, extending 8" to the right, but most of them are in the solid background area below the artwork. There were several tears and some paper loss in the upper right border, slightly extending into the solid black border area. There were some creases and scuffs in the solid black areas of the poster. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed in a "minimalist" fashion, and slight restoration was performed, but some of the scuffs and creases were left as is. But the poster displays well, and from any reasonable viewing distance, the above defects are not distracting, and I would think almost any collector would be quite happy to display this cool poster exactly as it is.
