An Original Vintage Theatrical Paperbacked Insert Movie Poster (measures 14" x 36") (Learn More)

Son of Dracula, the 1943 Robert Siodmak Universal vampire monster horror thriller sequel ("Red Lips Thirsting!"; "Pale Hands Caressing!"; in this sequel, the Count travels from Budapest to the Deep South of the U.S.!; this is the first Dracula movie that shows him transforming into a bat on screen) starring Louise Allbritton, Robert Paige, Evelyn Ankers, Frank Craven, J. Edward Bromberg, Samuel S. Hinds, Adeline De Walt Reynolds, Pat Moriarty, and Lon Chaney Jr. (in the title role as Count Dracula; he is credited on some posters as "Lon Chaney as Count Dracula", though his actual character name in this film is "Count Alucard", which of course is "Dracula" spelled backwards!)

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.

Condition: very good. The poster had creases, smudges, pinholes, tears, and small areas of paper loss in the blank borders. The person who paperbacked the poster painted over all the borders (except for the tiny writing at bottom. The image area had a 2" tear at the center of the top of the image, extending into Chaney's hair. There were rough creases along the foldlines. There were some tears, creases, and stains across the bottom 1" of the poster. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to paperbacking. The poster was well backed and looks quite nice! If you stare at it from inches away, you can see the restoration, but from any distance away, you really just see the wonderful poster image!
