What IS linenbacking? Learn More

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had a 10" tear in the middle left of the top border that starts in the top border and extends through the side of the boy's head and ends in his chin. There is a 2" tear in the upper left border. Otherwise, the poster was in pretty nice condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was well backed, but the restorer did not do anything to address the two tears, so they are very noticeable (but any restorer could easily touch up just those two tears without re-backing the poster), and after proper restoration, the poster will look great!
