Kenton Mexico California romantic love triangle gambling casino family relationship melodrama ("All talking"; a wild story of an owner of a casino by the Mexico border in California, whose wife is a sleazy woman called "Mexicali Rose", and when he catches her in an affair with the casino manager, he kicks her out; he has a young man who is his adopted "brother", and he supports the young man, telling him that he is a rich gold miner, and then the young man comes to visit with his new wife, who is the casino owner's ex-wife that he kicked out, and he pretends not to recognize her, and she goes along with his pretending to be a gold miner!) starring Barbara Stanwyck (in the title role as Mexicali Rose; in her second credited movie role!), Sam Hardy, William Jannery, Lousi Natheaux, and Arthur Rankin NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that first release 1927 movie posters from this early Barbara Stanwyck movie are incredibly rare. We have never auctioned any first release movie paper item from this movie until we received this glass slide! Also note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline).
