Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Three-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 41" x 81") (Learn More)

Irma la Mala (released in the U.S. as "She-Devil Island"), the 1936 Raphael J. Sevilla Mexican fantasy romantic melodrama ("Wild Warrior Women"; "Captives of a savage queen!"; "with a native cast"; a wacky story about a mysterious island with solely women, and no men are allowed; but a man shows up there and starts trying to win over one of the local women, and then his friends show up as well; no doubt one of the main attractions of this movie is the sexy costumes the "native" cast wears, which includes unusual bras made from seashells!) starring Ramon Pereda, Adriana Lamar, Juan Jose Martinez Casado, Victoria Blanco, and Antonio Liceaga. Note that the only poster material we have ever seen from this movie is from the 1936 U.S. release by First Division, where the movie was called "She-Devil Island". The posters only credit "a Native Cast". If anyone has ever seen any poster from this movie that is not from this same release, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: This three-sheet was printed in 2 sections.

Condition: very good to fine. the poster appears to have never been used; there is separation and small paper loss at some crossfolds and creases and tiny tears on many foldlines and in the outer borders. There are some longer areas of separation at the crossfolds of the larger section of the poster, but the separations are clean, and would come together cleanly during backing. There are a few tiny pinholes in the borders of some sections. Overall, it has probably survived in as good condition as could be expected, considering it is over 65 years old! The colors are bright and vibrant and the paper has a crisp, unused feel. Linenbacking this poster would be an easy job for any talented restorer, after which the poster would look perfect!
