An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Title Lobby Card (LC TC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More)

The Case Against Brooklyn, the 1958 Paul Wendkos New York City NYPD courtroom lawyer legal corrupt police crime thriller ("Is this cop for sale? For $500 - under the table!"; "This picture is not anti-cop, it's anti-crooked cop!"; "See Brooklyn law blast back - in the movie that warns the nation it can happen anywhere!"; "Are crooked cops disgracing your city, too?"; "Cop link bookie ring bared in B'klyn; 5 held"; "Cop-bookie ring quiz expected to hit bronx"; "B'Klyn Scandal May spell end of morals squad"; "Bookie Outfit took in Bronx & Manhattan"; "15 Brooklyn Police Tied to Bookies"; "Indictment #1 This is the cop who sold out to the mob...in Brooklyn!"; "Indictment #2 This is the bomb that blows up an honest cop's wife...in Brooklyn"; "Indictment #3 This is the blackjack that keeps the welshers in line...in Brooklyn!"; "Indictment #4 This is the black book that names the bookies and babes...in Brooklyn!"; "-and this is the movie that blasts Brooklyn's crooked cop-bookie syndicate!"; "Based on an article in True magazine by Ed Reid") starring Darren McGavin, Margaret Hayes (billed as "Maggie Hayes"), Bobby Helms (billed as "introducing Bobby Helms"), Warren Stevens, and Peggy McCay. As an odd note, this is one of the few movies where the posters were intentionally made in black and white, probably to give it a gritty documentary feel. Also note that the one-sheet for this movie LOOKS as though it has been censored, but it is actually printed with an uneven censor mark across the face of the "crooked cop"!

Condition: good. There is a Canadian censor stamp in the lower right. Note that this lobby card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back!
