Harvey, the classic 1950 Henry Koster mental illness fantasy comedy ("The wonderful Pulitzer Prize play... Becomes one of the great motion pictures of our time!"; "From the play written by Mary Chase"; about a man and his attempt to have people come to terms with his 6 foot, imaginary rabbit named Harvey; his sister tries to have him committed, but is he insane, or is Harvey somehow "real"?) starring James Stewart (Jimmy Stewart; nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film), Josephine Hull (winner of the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film), Charles Drake, Cecil Kellaway, Jesse White, Victoria Horne, Wallace Ford, Peggy Dow, and Clem Bevans

Important Added Info: Note that we don't know what to make of this poster, but it is really cool! It is a glossy photo, but it is printed on a thicker paper, similar to half-sheets of this time. It has the look of an enlarged newspaper ad, but the printing quality is better than the enlarged newspaper ads we have seen. We don't know if it is from the first release of the movie in 1950, but it would certainly seem to be. Perhaps it was created by a local theater (as was often done by larger theaters at this time, which would make many of their own posters). It appears that the poster originally measured over 22" x 28" and that it was trimmed so that it could fit into a half-sheet frame, but of course, whatever was trimmed does not hurt the image. If anyone knows more about this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Please do not bid on this poster unless you can accept the uncertainties of when it is from and for what purpose it was created.

Condition: good. The poster was once rolled and had several vertical creases along the bottom. It was separated on two of those creases (the ones that fell in the far right of the bottom border), and someone put brown paper tape on the back of both of those. There are three circles of discoloration in the left of the top of the still and many creases, smudges, and scuffs scattered around the edges, with a few in the central image.
