McLeod cruise-ship-stowaway seafaring slapstick comedy ("The Four Marx Brothers"; about the four brothers stowing away on a transatlantic cruise ship; concepts from this movie were reused in A Night at the Opera and Room Service) starring the Marx Brothers (Groucho Marx, Harpo Marx, Chico Marx, and Zeppo Marx), Rockliffe Fellowes, Harry Woods, Thelma Todd, Ruth Hall, and Billy Barty NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this scene card, and it sold for $4,100! Note that this lobby card is from a remarkable find that was just made of extremely rare lobby cards from the very early 1930s, the kind of titles you never see! Unfortunately, all of them were in lesser condition and some in much lesser condition. We took out the best seven for individual auctions (and this is one of those), and then there are eleven incomplete sets of cards in eleven separate auctions, and finally, we made four bulk lots of the cards in the worst condition. All of these will be auctioned in our auctions that end in January, and afterwards, there will be no more cards from this remarkable find! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: fair. The card has paper loss in the bottom right corner extending into the Paramount logo. It has stains and smudges scattered throughout, with paper loss near the bottom center, in the man's sleeve. It has pinholes and tiny paper loss across the top. Obviously, this incredibly rare and desirable card can be restored, but bear its condition in mind (and look at our super-sized images) before bidding on it. Learn More about condition grades
