An Undated (probably 1920s) Re-Release Theatrical Linenbacked Three-Sheet Movie Poster (3sh; measures 41" x 81" [104 x 206 cm]) (Learn More) Dawn of Revenge, the 1922 Bernard Sievel silent kidnapping incest romantic love triangle family relationship melodrama (a crazy story of a man who not only loses his girlfriend to another man, but he becomes crippled in a fight with his rival; this makes him insane, and he kidnaps their infant son years later, and raises him as his own son, and then years later, when he finds out that the couple has since had a daughter, he introduces his "son" to her, so that he will end up marrying his own sister!; but at the climax of the movie, it is revealed that the daughter was actually adopted, so she is no relation to her "brother", and the crippled man dies in an explosion, so everyone ends up happy) starring Richard C. Travers, Muriel Kingston, Charles Graham, Florence Foster, and Louis Dean. Note that this was one of many movies that the "Aywon Film Corporation" bought the rights to in the very early 1920s, and they distributed them to theaters with newly created art, and surely fooled most moviegoers into thinking they were seeing a brand new movie. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had creases and small tears in the upper part of the left two vertical folds and some pinholes and small tears around the edges. Someone many years ago mounted the poster as is to a thinner linen, with no excess. They did no restoration, and whatever glue they used to attach the top of the middle piece to the bottom of the top piece dried out over time, and that area is significantly separating from the linen. Someone could simply re-glue that area, but it would make far more sense to have the poster removed from the thin linen and properly re-backed. Since its defects are pretty minor, it will look great after a simple re-linenbacking. But bear in mind its defects and the cost of restoration before bidding on this poster.
