Original Vintage Theatrical 8x10 Lobby Card (Learn More)

Dinty, the 1920 John McDermott & Marshall Neilan California silent juvenile adventure comedy ("Slowly the guillotine swings down on her"; "A Drama of San Francisco's Chinatown"; about a newsboy who has multiple adventures including fighting with Asian drug smugglers in Chinatown) starring Wesley Barry (in the title role as Dinty), Noah Beery Sr., Colleen Moore, Aaron Mitchell, J. Barney Sherry, Marjorie Daw, and Tom Wilson (a large white man who specialized in playing black roles in the early silent days when studios were reluctant to hire African Americans; he would put burnt cork on his face and skin!; he appeared in The Kid, but not in a black role)

Important Added Info: Note that this card is from the sequence involving drug smugglers and the lead smuggler is saying to the woman "You will do as I bid or I'll bind you under the swinging knife.", as two of his Asian henchmen look on!

Condition: very good to fine. The bottom 1/4" of the bottom blank border is slightly browned. "May 13th" is written with blue in the center of the bottom blank border.
