An Original Vintage Folded British Quad Poster (BQ; Quad Crown; measures 30" x 40" [76 x 102 cm]) (Learn More) the 1960s English double-bill release of Carry On Nurse, the 1959 (released in the U.S. in 1960) Gerald Thomas English medical doctor sexploitation hospital comedy ("By far the screen's fastest funniest farce!... a real whing-ding in the men's wing!"; "She's a femme with a flair... And it's fun with a flourish!"; "If you never see another COMEDY you must SEE - Carry On Nurse"; "From the same stars & team that gave you the sensational comedy success 'Carry On Sergeant'"; "It'll fracture your funnybone!"; "Doctor - nurse - patient situations to keep you in stitches!"; "Sly! Slick! Side-splitting!") starring Shirley Eaton, Kenneth Connor, Charles Hawtrey, Hattie Jacques, Terence Longdon, Bill Owen, Leslie Phillips, Joan Sims, Susan Stephen, Kenneth Williams, and Wilfred Hyde-White (billed as "Guest Star Wilfrid Hyde White"). Note that this was one of a very popular series of 30 "Carry On..." sexploitation movies that were made in England between 1958 (the first one was "Carry On Sergeant") and 1978 (at that point, it became a TV series, and there was one final theatrical movie in 1992) AND School for Scoundrels ("or How to win without actually CHEATING!"), the 1960 Robert Hamer English black comedy ("Learn to gain weight by LOOSING scruples!"; "Based on the novels by Stephen Potter"; adapted for the screen by actor Peter Ustinov; about a decent young man who feels he always loses out to other men with low morals, until he enrolls in the College of Lifemanship, which teaches its students how to be corrupt, how to seduce women, and how to get ahead at any cost) starring Ian Carmichael, Terry-Thomas, Janette Scott, Alastair Sim, and Denis Price. Note that Janette Scott is best remembered for her starring role in "Day of the Triffids" in 1963, which was immortalized in the lyrics of the song from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" that says "And I really got hot When I saw Janette Scott fight a triffid that spits poison and kills." She divorced her first husband and married Mel Torme in 1966, which pretty much ended her career, as she quickly had two children. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Note also that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good to very good. The poster has a few creases scattered in various areas (see our image). There are a few defects around the edges and there is some slight discoloration at lower right. The rare poster is otherwise in pretty good condition and after a pretty simple linenbacking the poster will look great! Learn More about condition grades
