Robert Mitchum was an actor from the 1940s to the 1990s. Some of his movies include: The Story Of G.I. Joe (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), Out of the Past, Cape Fear, Holiday Affair, The Night of the Hunter, The Longest Day, and scores of others! He remained a leading man for decades, and his career survived his being arrested for smoking marijuana in 1948 (and it probably was even helped by it!). He passed away in 1997 at the age of 79.

Important Added Info: Note this poster is one of 15 posters that was included in a special Italian portfolio called "WARNER BROS: GALLERIA DEL SUCCESSO 1959-60", and it shows Robert Mitchum from "The Sundowners". The other 14 stars in the portfolio were John Wayne, Audrey Hepburn, Mamie Van Doren, James Stewart, Angie Dickinson, Paul Newman, Natalie Wood, Frank Sinatra, Deborah Kerr, Clint Walker, Barbara Rush, James Garner, Erin O'Brien, Richard Burton, Carroll Baker, and Robert Stack. We once auctioned a complete portfolio in excellent condition, and it sold for $924. This single poster has a great image of Robert Mitchum by Angelo Cesselon, and it has his name at the bottom and the Warner Bros. logo at top left.

Condition: fair. There is much staining around the edges and staining in the top of the poster, especially in the left of Mitchum's forehead. There is some surface paper loss, creases, and tears around the edges as well. Certainly, the poster can be restored, but bear this expense in mind before placing a bid on it.
