An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Forty by Sixty Movie Poster (40x60; measures 39 1/2" x 59 1/2" [100 x 151 cm]) (Learn More)

Urubu: The Vulture People (also released as only "Urubu"), the 1948 George P. Breakston Brazil jungle horror thriller ("Thrills No Camera Has Captured 'Til Now!"; "Fearlessly filmed in the steaming Matto Grosso Jungles of Brazil!"; "A thousand and one chills! Authentic Thrills! Unbelievable yet true!"; "A thousand thrills!"; "SEE: A beautiful maiden in the hands of the horrible Urubu tribe!"; "SEE: Jungle warfare as poison arrows and venomous darts battle man's most modern weapons!"; "SEE: The most awful death that stalks at night... The blood-mad black panther!"; "SEE: Man against beast in a fight for survival!"; "SEE: The horrible fate of a python's prey... The crushing coils of a slithering monster!"; "Twice as thrilling because it's true!"; "With an all-native cast"; "Weird adventure in the Matto Grosso... the deadliest jungle hunt in the annals of human endurance!") starring George P. Breakston, and narrated by Yorke Coplen. Note that one of the posters for this movie describes it in one area as having "a thousand and one chills", but in another area, it says it has "a thousand thrills" and "authentic chills". Using our deductive logic, we have a feeling that means there were a thousand chilling thrills, and one chill that was not thrilling, so we wonder which one that was!
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that most 40x60s from this period were only sent to theaters rolled. This poster was folded multiple times. It is possible that it was done at the exchange, but it seems more likely that it was by the theater that received the poster. Please do not bid on this poster unless you can accept that it has multiple folds (see our image). Note that this 40x60 measures 39 1/2" x 59 1/2" [100 x 151 cm], but it has not been trimmed.

Condition: good. The poster was folded, which is not typical of 40x60s from this period. There are many pinholes around the edges.
