An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Autographed Insert Movie Poster (measures 14" x 36" [36 x 91 cm]) (Learn More)

The Rocket Man, the 1954 Oscar Rudolph science fiction (sci-fi) comedy ("He's just taking up space."; "From a story by George W. George and George F. Slavin"; note that the screenplay for this movie was written by Lenny Bruce, who would go on to much fame for entirely different reasons!; his name is clearly credited on the posters, yet for some reason, people rarely note that he wrote the screenplay!) starring Charles Coburn, Spring Byington, Anne Francis, John Agar, George 'Foghorn' Winslow (as the boy in the spacesuit!), Stanley Clements, Emory Parnell, June Clayworth, Don Haggerty, and Beverly Garland
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this poster has been personally autographed (signed) by George 'Foghorn' Winslow! Our consignor was selling posters as a collectibles show, and George Winslow was walking by, so our consignor asked him to sign it. While he does not have a "certificate of authenticity", we are certain it is authentic. Also note that this classic grade-B movie had, for unknown reasons, a duotone one-sheet. So the poster to get from this movie is either the insert or half-sheet, both of which have great full color images of the boy in the silly 1950s spacesuit! Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube.

Condition: good.
