Important Added Info: Note that this is an incredible studio publicity book created by RKO for this classic movie when it was about to be released in 1935. It was purchased from the estate of Hollywood photographer Robert Coburn, who later was a studio photographer for Columbia Pictures for many years. Studios would create publicity books like these for various purposes, and what is offered here is the actual original mock up of that publicity book, but it is incomplete. There are 21 of the original sheets of Vadun illustration board, each measuring 12" x 15", and glued to those sheets are original Coburn photos, and captions were glued beneath them. There are also five boards which have printed artwork of the producer, director, cameraman, original author, and script writer! At some point over the years, all of the captions from the Coburn photo ones came off, but we have a group of separate captions which likely are the ones that came off. The five artwork ones still have the original captions. There is also a "title page" with the full cast and production credits, and there are five 11" x 14" stills with embossed Coburn signatures at the bottom and six 8" x 10" stills which have the RKO studio stamp on the back (three are stamped with Coburn's name and three are not). This is an extremely rare opportunity to purchase wonderful original production material and great stills for a classic movie, directly from the estate of the photographer who took them. Note that we pictured every single item in this lot!

Condition: good. The publicity book is separated into pages, and on most of them, the captions are separated, but they are present, as described above. There are some stains around the edges of each of the illustration boards. The 11" x 14" and 8" x 10" stills are in pretty nice condition.
