Nosferatu, eine Symphonie des Grauens (released in the U.S. in 1929 as "Nosferatu" and "Nosferatu, a Symphony of Horror"), the classic 1922 F.W. Murnau German silent vampire monster horror thriller (an unauthorized adaptation of Bram Stoker's "Dracula") starring Max Schreck (as the lead vampire, Graf Orlok), Gustav von Wangenheim, Greta Schroder, Alexander Granach, and Georg H. Schnell

Artist: F. Biegler
Important Added Info: Note that this is issue #21 from 1921 of "Buhne und Film", a German theater and film magazine (sometimes called "Stage and Screen"). As noted in Wikipedia, "Shortly before the premiere, an advertisement campaign was placed in issue 21 of the magazine Buhne und Film, with a summary, scene and work photographs, production reports, and essays, including a treatment on vampirism by Albin Grau."! This magazine is very rare, and it is one of the only ways a collector can get ANY first release German movie paper from this movie (and actually, this is from BEFORE the first release, as noted above)! The article on Nosferatu is 2 pages long and the Albin Grau essay is one page (and we have photographed those). These images should greatly help you judge the overall condition of the magazine, and the contents page lets you know exactly what articles and stories are contained in this particular issue. Please know that these magazines are sealed in bags and are ready for shipping, and we cannot answer any questions about them or look through them for you, so please bid (or do not bid) based on the images we have provided.

Condition: fair to good. Page 9/10 was removed from the magazine (they did not relate to Nosferatu). There are some tiny brown stains scattered around the edges of several pages and some on the cover. The magazine was lightly folded down the middle at one time and it is mostly separated at the spine. Please look at our images, which will greatly help you judge the condition of this very rare magazine.
