An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Window Card Movie Poster (WC; measures 14" x 22 1/2" [36 x 57 cm]) (Learn More)

a local theater window card for the Star Theatre-Concord, New Hampshire, advertising their show for a week in September 1929: The Squall, the 1929 Alexander Korda bad girl romantic melodrama ("Meet Nubi, Gypsy Gale of Passion") starring Loretta Young, Alice Joyce, Myrna Loy (amazingly, she made 78 movies between 1925 and 1933, and she FINALLY got her big break when she signed with MGM, and the next year she made both "The Thin Man" and "Manhattan Melodrama", and the rest, as they say, was history!; but what took Hollywood and filmgoers so long to recognize her amazing beauty and talent?), Richard Tucker, and Zasu Pitts. Note that this movie has Myrna Loy playing an incredibly BAD gypsy girl named Nubi, who moves in with a good family, and ruins their lives through her seductiveness (Loretta Young is a very "GOOD" girl, with her hair in braids). If this movie exists, I would love to see it! AND Sin Town, the 1929 J. Gordon Cooper & William K. Howard western melodrama, starring Elinor Fair, Ivan Lebedeff, Hugh Allan, Jack Oakie, and Bob Perry AND Montmartre Rose, the 1929 Frederick Hiatt & Bernard McEveety silent melodrama starring Marquerite De La Motte, Rosemary Theby, Harry Myers, Paul Ralli, and Frank Leigh AND Cowboy Cavalier, the 1928 Richard Thorpe mystery western melodrama starring Buddy Roosevelt, Olive Hasbrouck, Charles K. French, Fanny Midgley, and Robert Walker AND Chasing Through Europe, the 1929 David Butler & Alfred L. Werker romantic comedy sequel (this was a sequel to the 1928 movie, "The News Parade", with Nick Stuart again playing a brash newsreel cameraman traveling the world in search of hot news; in this movie, he meets Sue Carol, who is engaged to a man she doesn't love, and she is kidnapped, and Stuart helps her break her engagement and escape the crooks, while traveling through London, Paris and Rome, and there is apparently a cliffhanging scene at the Eiffel Tower!) starring Sue Carol, Nick Stuart, Gustav von Seyffertitz, Gavin Gordon, and E. Alyn Warren AND The Winged Horseman, the 1929 B. Reeves Eason cowboy western starring Hoot Gibson, Mary Elder (billed as "Ruth Elder"), Charles Schaeffer, Allan Forrest, and Herbert Prior

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this window card was never folded. Often window cards would be folded across the middle, because that would make them 11" x 14", and they could then be sent with standard folded posters. Most collectors put an added value on a window card that has never been folded.

Condition: good.
