An Original Vintage Hardcover Theater Exhibitor's Date Book (measures 5 1/2" x 8 1/4"; 113 pages) (Learn More)

Metro 1923-24, the 1923 exhibitor's date book ("Proven Leadership") containing calendars, date logs, images of stars, and upcoming movies for the year including: Scaramouche, The French Doll, Strangers of the Night (Captain Applejack), Long Live the King (Jackie Coogan, "America's Favorite Youngster"), and many more! Of special note is the great 2-page spread on Buster Keaton, which tells how "all the big companies bid for his services, but Metro got him!" (see our image). Note that this book was likely a condensed version of their 1923-24 studio yearbook, with some of the same images printed in a smaller size. They would send these date books to all their exhibitors, with the hopes they would use them regularly to list the movies they played, and that it would remind them to continue to book Metro movies.
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.

Condition: very good. There is slight scuffing on the cover. The interior pages are not written on at all, which is unusual for a date book. Overall, it is in surprisingly nice condition!
